Dress Like a Pirate and Get Free Donuts

ahoy there mateys! TODAY is one of my favorite days of the year, Talk Like a Pirate Day. did you know what happens at Krispy Kreme on Talk Like a Pirate Day? if you dress up like a pirate, you get free Krispy Kreme donuts! and not just one donut....a box of a dozen glazed donuts. YUM. and if you are too shy to dress up like a pirate, you can talk in pirate dialog and get one free donut to enjoy.

check out the pirate adventure we had last year. i picked up the kids from school and dressed them up with makeshift pirate costumes (including myself) and dashed over to Krispy Kreme's. the kids thought i was crazy at first, but when they saw the big boxes of donuts they each got, they sure changed their attitude. "yes mom, this is fun!"

because donuts are the best after school snack...and my little pirates couldn't be happier. even with their milk mustaches.

we all enjoyed some donuts, but there was no way we could eat 7 boxes of donuts....okay, we probably could have. so we got to take the rest home to enjoy later.

and just for proof that i dressed like a pirate as well....check me out and the rest of the crew (and some random dude that crashed our picture). yes, we all look silly, but i am loving that my children will have memories of the fun and silly thing we do...just to get free donuts. you need to do this, it was so much fun.
