the weather has been getting hot over here in Orange County, which makes the kiddies and i super excited. when it gets hot in the OC, that means you get to go swimming, to the beach and to fun places like Knott's Soak City!!!! and you don't have to wait till summer to go to Soak City because it is ALREADY OPEN!
so, this weekend our family headed down to Soak City to enjoy a fun filled day of waterslides, water play, family time & fun in the OC sun. the kiddies have been looking forward to this for weeks.
i loved that at Soak City, there is something for everyone to do. my husband and middle boy's favorite was Banzai Falls. they went down it at least 6 times.
my oldest boy chickened out going on the Pacific Plunge....i don't say i blame him. yikes!
but he had a blast at Tidal Wave Bay....
and also had fun with the Big Squirt. here you can purchase a water squirter and fill it up at this filling station. then you go-to-town getting your brother....and your mom wet!
baby had a blast in the Gremmie Lagoon, made just for kiddies under 54" tall. he could have played there all day. i had plenty of mommy moments just watching him play. pure joy.
all of my kiddies loved playing at the Beach House. every couple minutes a gazillion gallons of water pours onto everyone. there are water cannons, waterslides and water features to explore and interact with.
and me...i hung out with baby in the Lazy River. just my pace, nice and chill.
however...i did get talked into going on a water slide by my mommy friend Shelby. i survived...and had fun doing it too!
you can also rent one of these cool cabanas. perfect if you need to get out of the sun, take a break or order some snacks and beverages. it was also a great "home base" for the kiddies since everyone was running around having fun. it gave us moms in our group piece of mind to have a spot where all our stuff was. and great that there was always someone there if someone needed something.
some things i really loved about Soak City was that is was really clean, the life guards were very attentive to the water and i didn't have one complaint from any of my kiddies the entire day! we stayed till closing...i thought we would have to leave early because the kids would be "done".....nope, they wanted to stay longer!
wanna head over to Soak City this summer? Soak City will be open until September 16th. don't forget your sunscreen....you will need it.
