today i am happy to partner with Del Monte to bring you this post about some of the super moments in my children's lives. as a mom, i cherish many, many moments as super moments. even if these super moments aren't considered super in the eyes of others. but if you are a parent, you know what i am talking about.
this week our family is celebrating Vann, my littlest son's super moments. he has made some awesome accomplishments this week. first, he survived his first week of kindergarten!!! despite being less than thrilled, and a little nervous. he did it!
and along with this big accomplishment came a bunch of super moments. like...putting on his own shoes without help.
up until now this guy had been all about the flip-flops, and i can't say i don't blame him. he's a California boy and loves his flip-flops. so, getting him to wear tennis shoes and putting them on himself is a super moment.
and writing his name. ever since he learned to write him name, he has always written it "Vqhh". our entire family thinks is hilarious. we would even find him typing his name this way on the computer or iPad.
this week the kindergartner teacher must have been working with him because he now has been spelling it correctly and much more legible. yay! another super moment.
finally, we have made some big strides in the 'eating more' and 'better foods categories'. this guy is my pickiest eater. its hard to get him to eat food at all. he is always day dreaming and playing instead of eating. if i can get a sandwich or a piece of fruit into him, i rejoice. i was nervous that at kindergarten, he wouldn't eat his lunch and would be hungry all day. but, i was wrong! he has been eating all of his lunch and lots of things he wouldn't normally touch at home.
having kids, means there are always things to celebrate. even things like being able to get the kids to eat more nutritiously! when i can get my boys, especially Vann, to eat the things i give him...i celebrate!!!!
Del Monte has just offered an innovative new solution to support kids’ nutrition, just in time for back-to-school season–Del Monte Fruit & Veggie Fusions fruit cups. Del Monte Fruit & Veggie Fusions combine the great taste of Del Monte fruit cups with the power of veggies, making for the perfect sidekick to accompany your little superheroes through busy days. each cup has lightly sweetened vegetable and fruit juice inside, creating a delicious snack to bring out the super in the whole family. that means there is 1 combined serving of fruit and veggies in every cup, plus....no high fructose corn syrup and no artificial colors or flavors.
i let little Vann try out Del Monte Fruit & Veggie Fusions to see what he thought of them, and guess what? they were a big hit! in fact, all the boys were curious to see if they could taste any of the veggies. nope. the Peach Mango flavor passed the test, and we are now all excited to try the other Del Monte Fruit & Veggie Fusions flavors: Cherry Fruit Trio and Apple Pear Watermelon.
all these fun flavors will be available at local Walmarts starting September 8, 2015, and will make a great addition to this year's Back-to-School lunch packing and snack routine. Del Monte Fruit & Veggie Fusions will definitely be making it into Vann's lunchbox. 1 combined serving of fruit and veggies in every cup...YES PLEASE!
