8Large croissants (preferably day old)
4Eggs
2cupsHalf & half
1cupOrange Marmalade
1 cupCream cheese
Orange Syrup
1cupOrange juice
1cupSugar
2tablespoonButter
1tablespoonCorn Starch
Instructions
Orange Marmalade & Cream Cheese Croissant French Toast
Cut all of the croissants in half.
Spread cream cheese on one half of each croissant.
Spread orange marmalade on top of the cream cheese.
In a bowl, whisk together 2 cups of half & half and the 4 eggs.
In a non-stick pan, melt butter or spray with cooking spray.
Dip the orange marmalade and cream cheese filled croissant quickly into the egg mixture just until fully coated. Be careful not to saturate it.
Place the coated croissant into the heated frying pan.
Cook over medium heat on both sides until each side is toasted brown and cooked through. Remove from heat.
Keep the croissants warm before serving by placing into a 250ºf oven on a baking sheet until ready to serve.
Orange Syrup
Whisk together orange juice, sugar, corn starch, and water in a small saucepan.
Heat on medium high stirring constantly until the syrup is boiling and starts to thicken.
Once the syrup is thickened, add butter. Stir until fully combined. Pour into a serving dish.
